The only way to describe the events of my evening meal at Sergio’s last night would be to say "there was something in the air" - you could almost say a ‘buzz’.

 There is something exciting happening soon; as if I could fail to forget with my fiancé pointing out the big Valentine’s hearts in every card shop window. I suspect it’s even why she suggested Sergio’s yesterday – they’re making a huge effort this year for all of the couples out there (after all, Valentine’s Day is nearly here!!)

It looks like the staff at Sergio’s are as excited for the event as most couples are – the champagne is probably already chilling, and the pianist for the evening sounds like he is practicing for an Olympic gold. Hope he won’t sprain a finger!

All in all – Sergio’s looks like the place to be this February when the middle of the month swings around. But, at the rate that the barmen were picking up the phone, I’d hazard a guess to say that every wife, girlfriend and partner in the area with some wits about themselves have already had bookings arranged. I’ll be honest – I made my booking just this very morning, under that calm and watchful eye of my better half. So get on it chaps – time is not to be wasted at this time of year!
